TA Team: Technical Knowledge and Site Support
Established in 2007, Allco’s Technical Advisory department had one clear goal: to support and guide our approved applicators and to ensure the correct installation of our Volclay range. At that time, no other suppliers offered a similar service, and we believe this remains a unique point of difference.
Our Technical Advisory (TA) team provides expert guidance, support, and on-site assistance to our approved applicators and main contractors during the installation of our Volclay products. The TA team conducts pre-install meetings and regular site inspections to ensure the quality of installation is carried out by our applicators. By closely monitoring applicator workmanship, project compliance, and site conditions, our team can identify potential issues and provide advice on the best ways to solve or mitigate problems. This proactive approach allows for timely adjustments and corrections, preventing costly rework or repairs.
Another notable benefit of this monitoring is the TA documentation and record-keeping in the form of detailed notes and photographs by the TA team and the lasting and trusting relationship developed with various stakeholders like clients, builders, main contractors, and council inspectors.
The TA team is also responsible for training Allco’s approved applicators, ensuring that our network possesses the necessary knowledge and skills to execute waterproofing installations to the highest standards. Through in-house and on-site training, the team equips applicators with best practices and product knowledge. This collaboration promotes excellence in workmanship and ensures consistency in the quality of installations.
Additionally, the TA team is involved in the approval of our warranties. Our System Warranties, for example, our most comprehensive warranty type, cover the product and the installation of the membrane for a 20-year warranty period. The TA team reviews the warranty requests and QA documentation to ensure that all necessary steps have been followed during installation. This crucial step provides not only architects and project owners a comprehensive warranty that will protect their project and investment, but it also protects Allco by minimising our risk exposure to a warranty that covers installation workmanship for a period of 20 years.
In summary, Allco’s Technical Advisory teams bring specialized knowledge, expertise, and support to construction projects. Their involvement ensures that waterproofing solutions are well-designed, properly executed, and meet the highest standards of quality and performance.
